FAQ

1. We would love to have our photos taken. How do I book you?

If you would like to book a session, email me using the contact form! Let me know which package you would like to book (see our pricing info here) and whether you would have your pictures taken in September or October. I will then send you a contract through email.  All you have to do is to print it out, sign it and mail it back to us along with the initial $100 deposit/retainer.  Your session must be booked at least 2 weeks out.  As soon as we received the signed contract and the retainer, then you’ve officially booked a session with us!

Please note that my life is very candid and lifestyle oriented.  You will still get a few formal shots of the family where everyone is looking into the camera smiling.  But most of them will be of you guys interacting, laughing, playing with each other.

2. Where would we go for our photo session?

I shoot on location and as far as where I go for family shoots, it depends on my clients’ preference.  Would you like to have to photos hoot in an urban setting? or a beach setting? or in a field and in front of a barn? Or maybe even in your home or in your backyard?  If you don’t already have a specific location in mind, I can offer multiple suggestions based on the type of setting you want for your family session.

3. What should we wear for our family session?  And what should we bring to the photo shoot?

I would suggest that you and your family dress up a little bit but would still feel like you’re yourself.  Clothes with simple patterns that are easy on the eyes are preferred.  Please do not wear matching color clothes as they often clash with each other in the photos.

I always ask the kids to bring one of their favorite toys (football, stuff animal, toy guitar, etc) so 1. they won’t get too bored during the session and  2. it creates more opportunity for interactions and candid moments among the family members and kids.  You are also welcome to bring other fun props such as a picnic blanket, basket, umbrellas, balloons, kites to the photoshoot!

4. How long do we have to wait before the images are ready?

Approximately 4 weeks.

5.  Do you edit all the photos?

Yes, I personally edit all the photos individually.  :)  I promise that they will be beautiful both online and in prints!
